The BPV-31 piercing tap valve kits, which include 3 packs in total, bring you more convenience for replacement. Each kit contains 1 piercing valve, 1 hex key, and 2 adapters, as well as an R134a U-charge hose with a gauge and can tap, and a universal retrofit valve with a dust cap. All our replacement kits are made of corrosion-resistant metal that won't wear out or rust over time, and they feature an anti-leaking design that will be safer for you.
The BPV-31 piercing tap valve kits are designed for easy installation, requiring only a 2-inch clearance area and a single hex key wrench (included) to install the kit. If you want to attach the gauge with the BPV piercing tap valve, you'll need to use the included retrofit valve.
The R134a Charging hose is 19 inches long and features a connection for the R-134a can to the R-12/R-22 service port. The 1/2 inch end fits R12, 22, and 502 fittings, and the gauge has scale readings for R134, R12, and 22. The hose also comes with a 90-degree push and lock coupler with auto shut off.
The BPV-31 piercing tap valve is compatible with a variety of replacement models, including AP4502525, BPV31D, GPV14, GPV31, GPV38, GPV56, and MPV31. It can be used with 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, and 3/8 inch outside diameter pipes.
The universal retrofit valve converts from an R-12 to an R-134a air conditioning system and is suitable for a 7/16 inch low-side port. It's designed for vehicles manufactured before 1994 and comes with R-134a refill fittings.
